GAMA-GO, creators of the insanely beautiful Boing Boing limited-edition hoodie, are having a 24 hour sale right now. Until 11:59pm PST tonight (Wednesday), entering the coupon code GUESTLIST will give you 24% off all the GAMA-GO goodness on the site. That brings the Boing Boing hoodie down to $91! Seen above is the evolution of the hoodie graphic. It started with Tim Biskup's sketch (image left) that I'm honored to say is now hanging in my office. Then, Tim went deep into the psychedelic corners of his brain to produce an even trippier illustration in his sketchbook. Finally, GAMA-GO designer Emily Glaubinger brought Tim's artwork alive for apparel. The printed felt appliqué skull is surrounded by printed and embroidered graphics. A hybrid of Jackhammer Jill and Biskup's Deathbot is embroidered on sleeve. The inside features a printed and lined hood, two small zipper pockets, and a headphone cord pass-through.

Available in men's (small-XXL) and women's (small-XL), the Boing Boing hoodie is $91 today only. Domestic shipping is free. International shipping is $25 for one item shipped, $5 for every item thereafter. For the fat discount, just enter the coupon code GUESTLIST at check-out.

24% off brings it down to $91?? And I thought BoingBoing was for the people.

If that's too much for you, they have really cheap hoodies at Wal-Mart. It won't be artist-designed or have felt applique, embroidery or multi-color printing on it, though.

I'm trying to convince somebody to get it for me for christmas, but so far it has been to no avail and I don't have enough money myself. Looks warm, too.

I like the explanation of the design. I think I might almost like the first sketch better, it seems less busy.

If an artist didn't design them, who did?

It is cute, but what I really want to know is when did sweatshirts become "hoodies"?

I smell a moratorium coming. "It's too much, wah wah"...for you maybe!

I bought one. I love it. I'll wear it and let my baby spit up on it, wash it and wear it some more - like any other sweatshirt.

It was expensive...really expensive, but I bought one anyway. And I'm poor. Retarded poor. But that's what I did with my money anyway. So please don't buy one for yourself. Go buy something really important. Who cares.

I am pissed off that they lowered the price though.

So, go key an SUV or something. Elitist hipster nubs. ;)

Tried to buy a different shirt and entered coupon code but it didn't work. :(

Nobody is keeping you guys from buying inexpensive hoodies at Target. If that's what you want, go for it. If you put cool decorations on it, send us a photo.

The Gama-Go hoodie is wearable art, and very inexpensive for a product in that category. You're looking at multi-pass color printing, applique, embroidery, custom lining, and nifty custom buttons (which I covet). Normal retail pricing for an artwear garment with that much handwork using that many media would be two or three times Gama-Glow's price, and anyway it'd probably have daisies or Kokopelli on it instead of cool robots and an exploding skull.

Have a look at some of the details.

Bought one for the wife last time they were linked on BB. Nice design, high-quality embroidery, very pleased.

Crayonbeam, I've been wondering that myself. Kids these days, I swear.

TYO, it should work. Email me at david __at__ pesco.net and I'll try to get you some help.

This hoodie is really sharp looking, and I like it very much. That doesn't mean that those of us who also recognize that $120 (or $91) is a damn expensive hoodie are wrong, or that we should shut up and go to WalMart. Also, while the design of this is really very impressive, "wearable art" doesn't come in batches of 600.

hoodies are called such because they have hoods. sweatshirts are hood-less and therefore look like shirts.

Oh gee thanks a bunch!
I'm expecting delivery of my pre-ordered, full price one any day now but seeing this discount has somewhat taken the edge off my excitement, I'm now a little resentful about paying full price. Guess I shouldn't complain - should be getting a free courier bag anyway but still...

Jonathan29, if wearable art doesn't come in batches of 600, a lot of people are walking around stark naked in public because the clothing they think they're wearing doesn't exist.

And a general announcement: David Pescovitz has endorsed my earlier offer: if any of you want to buy inexpensive hoodies at Target or wherever, and decorate them yourself, send us a picture and we'll post it.

This sucks! The coupon code doesn't work, and it's still 11:27pm PST!

For $91, I'd expect the hoodie to be a self-heating taser-proof personal flotation device with integrated WiFi.

I wanted to get myself something for Christmas but I only had $100.00 to spend on myself. When I saw the Gamma-Go/Boing Boing hoodie I kept going back to the site to look at it. The $cost$ of it made me stop to think. When they announced the 24%off sale, I was elated and went for it! plus they give you a free bag... wow, what a great present! Wearable art is worth it all. It makes me want to design and sew my own designs. I can't wait to get it in the mail. It looks so cool!!!
