Music and video clip from Village of the Giants
Village of the Giants (1965) is a pretty awful movie. But the music is great, and this clip is the best part. Watch this and you'll never have to see the whole thing.
LinkSexy Beau Bridges and Joy Harmon in Village Of The Giants a spoofy movie where a gang of juvenile delinquents ingest a substance and grow to 30 ft tall, then proceed to take over a small town. directed by Bert L. Gordon (based on a novel written by H.G. Wells) , music by Jack Nitzsche with an appearance by The Beau Brummels, choregraphy by Toni Basil.
This track by Jack Nitzsche, called The Last Race, is also featured on Quentin Tarantino's last movie soundtrack: Death Proof (2007).

Actually, it should be Bert I. Gordon, or BIG - important, considering he's responsible for a lot of other giant creature movies, like Earth vs. The Spider and The Amazing Colossal Man.
Jack Nitzsche is a dreamy dreamboat.
I remember this movie as being one of my favorite MST3K episodes. It appears to be one that has yet to make it onto DVD, which saddens me greatly.

I remember when I was about ten years old, my fantasy was to hang on to Joy Harmon's bikini and ride her boobs.
Actually, it's still my fantasy.
Man, that is hot. The dude hanging on the humongoid schnoobs is priceless.
@#3 The MST3K version is available in 11 parts via the youtubes.
"Oh Mickey" Toni Basil? How old IS she??
Alli #7: In 1966, Toni Basil came out with a song called "I'm 28," which is a hilariously, wonderfully melodramatic song about being terrified of getting "old." But that song was nothing but a lie, because in 1966 she was 23. She was born in 1943.
Knowing this, if you watch the "Mickey" video again, you'll realize that she's totally the world's oldest cheerleader.

Mark F -- MORE PORK SAUSAGES MOM! Please?
This made my day. Can't wait to see the MST3K version.
A teenage Ron Howard plays a science nerd. There's a funny scene where a tentacled monster he creates slithers down a sink drain.
This film has been released on DVD (in a non-MST3K altered version) twice. Both were part of the MGM Midnite Movies series. First as a single film on DVD in 2001. Then in February 2005 it was rereleased, teamed up with "Attack of the Puppet People".
You know-- Toni Basil was also in "Easy Rider", I believe as one of the hookers in NOLa.
Tarantino often steals movie music from other movies, I noticed a lot of the music in "Kill Bill" is lifted from the obscure Charles Bronson movie "Navaho Joe" (seems common these days-- "Life Aquatic with Steve Zisou" borrowed a little Ennio Morricone music from "Sacco and Vanzetti").
That clip made me gay.
