Missing man reappears with no memory
In March 2002, John Darwin's trashed canoe was found on a beach near Hartlepool. Teesside, England. Darwin, then 51, was presumed to be dead. On Saturday though, he wandered into a London police station with no memory of where he's been for the last five years. From the BBC News:

Mr Darwin was examined shortly after speaking to police in London and showed no signs of illness.
He left the station with his two sons who live in Hampshire and Berkshire.

Sounds like a fugue state to me. Glad he's OK. I'm guessing that that's his dad in the picture on the Beeb's page, although it bears a slight resemblance to William S. Burroughs...
Perhaps he's spent some time with Don LaRose?

For some ridiculous reason the headline instantly reminded me of one I believe I remember seeing in the movie Fight Club - "Missing Apes Found Shaved"
The Times here in the UK is reporting that oddly, the 'dead' guy's wife very suddenly upped sticks about five weeks ago, removing her person, much of her furniture and all of her money (much from her husband's life insurance) to Panama, of all places. Panama, notably, doesn't have an extradition treaty with the UK. I suspect there's more to this than meets the eye.

Sounds like a textbook example of a mental abduction by the Great Race of Yith. His body was off performing alien science!
Or... another "Travis Walton" story from the movie "Fire in the Sky"?

Suspicious is today´s word!
And now he's been arrested, national newspapers are printing photos supposedly depicting him & his wife together last year, and his wife is claiming that she claimed on his life insurance 'in good faith'.

This is a fantastic story, almost literally! I suspected, as did the newspapers reporting this, something was up when, not only did he re-appear at a police station but that his wife coincidentally decided to emigrate to Panama of all places. Can't wait for the next installment.
