Gary Baseman's HotChaChaCha vinyl toy
I like Gary Baseman's new white HotChaChaCha vinyl toy.
LinkThis little Devil not only steals the halos from Angels but he sucks their pure, rich, red blood too. His lust for innocence and evil is unrivaled in Heaven and Hell and you'll find his angelic appearance beguiling, but don't let it fool you…and don't turn your back on him. This three-legged wily imp is a mean 6 1/2 inches tall. HotChaChCha is made of White Pearlized Vinyl and is contained (for your safety) in his own black coffin box.

My God, must we have another fucking post about some stupid bloody toy for over-privileged idiots with too much money on their hands?!!!
If you must post drivel about toys, then let it be about something useful for a change - vibrators, for example.
Oh wow I just simply love it.
Yes, they MUST! You should flee in terror, never to return! Run!!!
No need to get worked up. If someone wants to spend maybe $15 or $20 on a toy...
[looks at website]
$110! Are you kidding me?!
Never mind. Carry on, erm, Slutty McWhore.
...please tell me I'm not the only one slightly creeped out by Baseman's art.
God ye still have that Calvinist attitude, dont ya Slutty? Spend yer money on whit maks ye happy lassie! Ye can take the girl out of Scotland.....
At the Pasadena Museum of California Art in Pasadena, CA (duh) there is a huge exhibit on toys and Baseman is one of the featured artists. Anyone in SoCal should check it out.
Baseman's "pervasive art" (and the many others who practice it, like Biskup) is awesome and thouhgt-provoking and, certanily, at times grotesque, infantile and disgusting.... but it's fascinating to look at the intersection between fine art, commercial art, and design.
Looks like a rip off the aliens from The Simpsons.
