Richard Banres's "Animal Logic" photography
Photographer Richard Barnes works closely with museums around the world, documenting their collections, renovations, and behind-the-scenes activities. His 2004 exhibition, Animal Logic, explores the collecting and display of animals, from "exploded" animal skulls to the construction of dioramas. The locales include the Museum of Comparative Anatomy in Paris, the Peabody Museum at Yale University, the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, and the Smithsonian.
