I'll confess I don't understand how the word 'immanent' got verbed.

If you have to mangle a word for snark's sake, 'Imminentize the Eschaton' would make a lot more sense. "George, are you sure you're the one St. John the Divine was talking about?" "Sure as shootin', Condi. Gimme that there briefcase, and go say your prayers."

Thanks Beanolini for that link. I had no idea that it came from somewhere prior to the Illuminatus series. You learn something every day...
