Two-faced kitten

Lil' Bit is a darling two-faced kitten. He lives in Arizona. From The Telegraph:

Vets believe the cat, which has two mouths, two noses and four eyes, may have two brains, as one face can go to sleep while the other remains awake and it can blink independently on each one.

I have a two-faced kitten. When I'm around, he's all cuddly and adorable. When I go to work he spends all day trashing the place trying to get at the butter.

I wonder if the recent upswing of oddity stories over the past few years is simply a case of more reporting, or are there more viable mutations and oddities than usual of late? And/or a more ability and willingness to keep them alive?

Or, you know, signs of the Apocalypse.

In any case, we seem to continually be marching forward into science fiction.
