The Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust has stepped forward with matching funds for donations made to the UK-based Open Rights Group — every pound you send to ORG will be matched by Rowntree, to a maximum of £10,000. ORG is a tiny (one paid staffer), effective, scrappy tech-oriented UK civil liberties organisation, whose work on everything from e-voting to DRM to copyright term extension has made a deep impact on the state of British tech law and policy. I helped found ORG two years ago and I'm immensely proud of the work that ORG's staff and volunteers have undertaken since then.
