Here's a classic Muppet Show clip of jazz great Buddy Rich battling it out on the skins against Animal. The episode first aired in May 1981.

The clip is in Spanish. The weird thing is, that when Kermit speaks Spanish, he sounds like a completely different person, and no trace of an American accent. What a great actor!

Sometimes out front of the Eatons' Center in Toronto drummers will set up to busk for money. When last I witnessed this (just before a Rush concert) I was loudly growling "Drum battle! Drummm Baaaatlllleee!".

I have this clip on my iPod because I remember seeing this on tv when I was little. I love Animal's expression when Buddy goes hogwild on the drums. Of course the only reasonable thing to do next is to chuck part of the drum at him for showing off. :)
Cause you know, I'd do the exact same thing! :P
