BB's "Favorite this!" feature now working again
As many of you have noticed, the "Favorite this!" functionality of our new community feature set has been rather broken during the last few days. Thanks to the brave and dedicated technical team at Federated Media, the bug has been squashed. As promised, you can now tag posts as favorites and see that list in your profile page! Can we PLEASE get an RSS feed of the stuff we've favorited?
I definitely would like to see an RSS, or other functionality. Is this data being displayed anywhere? If not, what's the point in favoriting?

Right now we're sitting back and feeling pleased about finally getting the community launch working properly. Your requests for RSS feeds of favorited posts have been duly noted. (That means nobody has to post any more of those.)

I assumed that it was broken cause the Gods of Grammar noticed that "Favorite" isn't a verb...

Still not working for me.
Count is temporarily incremented under post, disappearing on reload. No effect on my profile page.
Like Scrubb, they don't seem to be appearing in my profile when I click on the "Favorites" link.
While I'm poking at issues...the "BoingBoing Gadgets the latest" header link in the sidebar points at whatever the current URL is, not BBG.
Are you getting a delay before they show up, or are they not registering at all?
And while we're on the subject, anyone else having trouble with comment preview mode?
They never show up, Teresa. Like I said, at first it looks like something's happened since the count temporarily increments, but nothing shows up on my profile page.
The only favorite that shows up is the first one I clicked. Since then, I've tried all three sites (bb, bbtv, bbg) with the same results.
Good news is, all these whiny comments show up!
Likewise. Not even one of the articles I've favorited show up on my profile.
No problems with the preview, although while we're picking nits...it would be useful if the listing of my comments on my profile page were sorted chronologically or so...
Hrrm...except, now, I just tried favoriting this one, and there it is in my profile! I'll go try some others.
It appears to be time related. Only very recent articles that I favorite are showing up on my profile. Perhaps dating from the time of the most recent fix?
Some of the posts I've fav'd since the fixed have indeed shown up in my profile, but I'm having the same problem with other posts.
For example, I've attempted to tag "Photos from film found in thrift store cameras" a few times now, and after clicking it does display "Favorited" and increments the number by one. In my profile, the post is not listed and, if I refresh, the count has returned to the original number.
I've had the same problem on Gadgets.
Additionally, I cannot comment on many posts. I receive the error:
An error occurred: Permission denied.
This has happened over the last few days and I've tried two different browsers, waited a day and now have created a new user account.

I've had the same issues since "Favorite" was introduced. Very sad.
I'm still having all sorts of problems posting, favoriting (verb? no! but delightful anyway) anything despite the fixes, and it's terribly difficult to let those in charge of fixing these or submitting them to those that can.
Could there possibly be a place, even temporary, to submit these as tickets or something?
That said, great job on the overhaul. It's still having some bumps (e.g., still intermittent "favorite this" problems, not being able to comment), but at least it's taking the advice of its gargantuan user community.
Interestingly enough, this new account hasn't had any trouble. It's only the account I created before the fixes were introduced.
