Philatelic Keyboards

These Philatelic Keyboards were made by Andy from Model M: "Each of his keyboards are made with the stamps of a single nation and often commemorate a royal coronation or celebrate a particular sport. Andy's friends and family are most often the lucky recipients of these works of art." Who says philately will get you nowhere? Link (via Make)

keyboards made of Andy? No thanks!
Actually, selling a costly stamp means that philately could get you to Phila. lately.
-or on time.
No thanks, my desk looks cluttered enough.
Too bad there's not enough presidents to do this properly. There's a lot of re-use there.
Handy for posting email... Too bad you can't see the actual keys...
Yeah, who *does* say philately will get yuo nowhere?
I think it's a beautiful piece of art, and a great conversation piece...
So, who has the honour of being pounded the most (the "e" key)
He better have used a new replica Model M. I nearly cried when I saw that. Such destruction of such beauty!

Oh, man, fix that dyslexic headline, it makes my brain hurt.
I can usually touchtype, but I do wish there was some way in which to give away which letter was which. Maybe make whomever's on each key correspond in some way with the character on there. It'll make every keystroke rife with meaning.
And how to work on such keyboard.

Very cool.
It always surprises me how few people bother to individualize their computers and electronics. Good to see people doing artistic stuff that isn't as hardcore as most of the stuff on the casemodding scene.
