Can I be the first to say that this has gone too far? lolcats is the only meme that works. Every other instance I've seen has paled in comparison.

The can is not the only thing that is invisible. The humor is also unperceptible.

I dunno, "invisible can" is pretty funny. Just because a grotesque gelatinous hunk of artificial fruit isn't as cute as a kitten doesn't mean you have to discriminate against it.

Almost no Lolcats are funny. Lolthulhu ( http://lolthulhu.com/ ) was funny for the first 48 hours. And all of these Lolvariants are generally unfunny. I can't wait for this meme to die.
It's creative, but not all that funny to me. Then again, I've never been a cranberry sauce man due to the fact that it somehow defies gravity. Maybe I'm just biased
lolcats was only funny when it was called caturday on 4chan because it was enjoyed by a relatively small group of people. Once it became popular and the internets were brimming with stupid cat pictures it just became too much. I say we lay it to rest permanently. And all of the variations too.

Everyone knows comedy is directly proportional to the number of people who are enjoying it. Ergo, the joke I am telling myself in my brain right now is the most hilarious thing ever. I'll not share it though, since adding audience would diminish it's humor.
This seems to be the typical 4chan argument: "not yours, you can't has it". Yet since threads there last mere hours, no 4channer can prove anything was invented there. Nor will they step forward past the shroud of anonymity (ahem) they're wrapped in to lay claim to anything. Besides, why bother when there are festering penis photos to post?
