Star Trek themed ash urns and caskets
It's fun to die when your earthly remains are ensconced in a Star Trek urn or casket. They're made by Eternal Images ("Designing Brand-Name Funerary Products"), which also offers Precious Moments" Major League Baseball, and Cat Fanciers' Association funerary products.
The new STAR TREK Urn will feature a bold design reminiscent of the 24th century styling of the United Federation of Planets and Starfleet. Urns will be available in late 2007.Link (Thanks, Tamara!)The STAR TREK Casket styling has been inspired by the popular “Photon Torpedo” design seen in STAR TREK II: The Wrath of Kahn. Caskets will be available in 2008.

if i didn't find the idea of caskets so pointless and wasteful i'd totally be into this.
Meh... I'd rather be buried in a replica of the Millennium Falcon.
wait wait....photon torpedoes are in star trek AND star wars? no, no...that can't be right....star wars happened a long, long time ago...and star trek is in the future. and plus, star trek isn't cool. so how could they have proton torpedoes? my world is crumbling around me.
star trek is cool, provided you stopped watching in 69.
Macisaguy, your world need not crumble.
Star Trek uses PHOTON torpedoes.
Star Ware uses PROTON torpedoes.
I want an urn shaped like Sargon's sphere from the original series episode "Return to Tomorrow" - it would light up when a person approached and tell them of my greatness. It would also ask for $3.50 ("tree-fiddy").
...Otay, anyone wanna place bets how long it'll be before some Trekkie pet lover uses the one on the left to store the remains of his Cat-tra?
[ducks behind large rock!]
haha! My father bought some stock in this company about six months ago (ETMI.PK) He only spent a few bucks on it, but if the star-trek thing pans out...well, not going to get my hopes up or anything...hehe.
BTW they are working on a Harley Davidson licensing deal as well.
although a bit disingenuous (maybe tacky is the word)...not a horrible idea.
