My pal Jen Lum says, "It's not quite the Blue Angels, but there's something very mesmerizing about tractor square dancing. Check out the precision moves!" Link
I reviewed a similar film for a college course. "pretty big dig" was done on a construction site in Twillingate Newfoundland. Kick-ass excavator choreography. Check it out here.
*T*h*a*n*k*y*o*u*!!! for that link to the Pretty Big Dig. My 19 month old son is just bonkers over all things in the "tractor" category. That's what made me go looking on YouTube for tractors in the first place and where I lucked out on the square dancing. CAT has a video on their website for excavators, but this...this is so amazingly beautiful!
I just want to jump in there with my Civic!
Having had square dance experience myself, what amazes me is not so much that they're doing it but how well they're doing it.

So that's where crop circles come from.
I do believe that was ol' Dewey Purnell callin' the dance there.

Jen, here's a pas de deux - human and backhoe. The ending is so poignant - speaks to the child remaining in all of us.
