Craftster user Zosomoto created these handsome goth reworkings of the classic Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dollies. Just in time for Hallowe'en accessorising, too.

raggedy ann and andy have always been goth. by which i mean so bone-shakingly acid-headed that i still wake up with nightmares from a film, supposedly FOR CHILDREN, that i saw almost 30(!) years ago. what film? oh...and if u live in the los angeles...its showing (a verrry rare print) on NOV 17th...more info here. i was going to go, but after reading part of that plot synopsis, i'm not so sure...so many haunted dreams suddenly thrown into sharp relief. seriously, that camel with the wrinkled knees is enough to freak your shit for. ever.
I think it's a stretch to call these Raggedy Ann and Andy - aside from being dolls, there really isn't much similarity. The proportions are all wrong, and are those even button eyes? Andy seems almost musclebound.
I saw a Goth Ann costume in Wal(mart)lyworld today.
Is this a new meme or just more corporate copycatting?

I just found another site that makes "Tim Burton"-esque dolls. Some are disturbing, but they are mesmerizing too.
