My mother (a teacher) has a similar staple remover, only it has the head of a tiger.

That hamster cage is great. Hamster shreds your documents; hamster gets more bedding. (And no one's going to want to try to piece your documents back together after they've been in that cage! :-)

In grade school, my classmates and I, after watching a gerbil shredding paper for its nest, used it to "cut" a sheet of paper in half with its teeth. Edges were a little rough, though.
