For what it's worth, that American Beauty bag in the wind sequence is considered by some to have been stolen from a small independent film that featured a similar sequence a year or so before AM came out.

Reminds me of Lamorisse's "The Red Balloon." A favorite of my youth. Moving pictures are excellent.
