Where the Wild Things Are meets Cthulhu

This illustration -- Toren Atkinson's "Where the Great Old Ones Are" (2003) -- is a twisted and hilarious mashup of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are and the Cthulhu mythos. Link (via Neatorama)

Toren happens to be the lead singer for Canada's most awesome Lovecraftian rock band: The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. They just put out a new album called The Shadow Out of Tim.
I'm not affiliated with the band, I just think they're really cool.
I will happily make a t-shirt for anyone who wants one. I don't keep this one up on the Thickets ebay store (http://stores.ebay.com/Dead-Space-God ) but I'll happily create a shirt to fit your specs with this design. Email thickets@uniserve.com for details. HOORAY!
I would definitely wear that...
I'd like to give a hear hear to Dave's comment - I just found their new album and back catalog on itunes (which is handy, as I've lost my disc.) If you think the picture here is cool, you should try listening to the new one. Rock + Lovercraft = awesome.
