On a side note, I just picked up the Make: Halloween issue (primarily for my sister the artist, who loves the holiday something fierce,) and I must say that torso cake is amazing.

If you want to add bruising to this all you need is the fabulous trio of deep purple, golden yellow and olive green eye shadows. Just a bit of each blended together and rubbed in along the edges of your gash and PRESTO - instant realistic bruising. It can really add to the realism factor of fake cuts.
