Obsessions like... what? Farting, violence and idiocy? 'Cuz I never really got Ren and Stimpy...

Thanks for the Aladdin's Lamp link. That so rocked.
Check out the links at the bottom of the Aladdin's Lamp page... In particular, look at Jeckyl & Hyde Cat, The Temperamental Lion and the insanely screwy Barnyard Actor.

Sorry, this is a Ralph Bakshi (Frizt the Cat, Lord of the Rings, Wizards) cartoon, not John K -- made in 1987. "Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures" was critically appreciated, but I remember Mighty Mouse sniffed a dandylion or something to regain his powers, which was interpreted as him sniffing cocaine by some moral-majority-esque folks that held a grudge against him for his X rated Fritz the Cat and his other more adult cartoons....

For maximum effect, try saying this to John K's face.
John K has been very upfront about the amount of credit due to Ralph Bakshi for getting the New Adventures to happen. But John K was probably the main creative force behind the series, and it was John K who directed this cartoon.
Huh. Didn't know that. Probably explains why I liked it. Still think the post is misleading, though -- anyone, not as much in the know as you appear to be, would interpret it as John K just having made a new episode of his new Mighty Mouse cartoon, not an old episode from a show he made back in 1987.

John is doing an internet prototype of the sort of cartoon show he would like to do on television. If you go to the page, you'll see YouTubes of the sort of mix of modern cartoons, classic cartoons and animated commercials he would like to do in an animated TV compilation series. This is the third episode he's assembled so far. Check the archive on his site for previous episodes and the explanation of the concept.
