Comic-geek fuel-tank door decals from Japan

Love these "otaku" fuel-tank decals from Comiket, the world's largest comics convention, held recently in Tokyo. Link (via Growabrain)

Gas door stickers...

Is this going to lead to wildly pimped-out gas doors with like a ton of fiberglass and neon and stuff?

'cause that would be cool.

Heh, I quite liked a few of the others displayed on that page, the ones with relevant text on 'em ("Please insert gently") were a bit more clearly "fuel door decals" ... My favorite was the one for the fake fuel door, how fun and irritating that could be when lending a friend your car =)

Someone ought to do a series of these for American cars. The sentiments would be different, of course.

Um,

It's a "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" fuel cap decal not a sticker saying "I brake for democrats." I'm really not getting The Hate Complex going on here.

Is it meant to be news? Hell No... since when is everything/anything on the Boing about news (Latest news update: Union chaser rapes Laura Bush?)

It's fun... The SOS Club is fun (it has to be else the world will get destroyed).

Do you *want* to destroy the world... Please *think of the children*.

So...they just end up spraying gasoline all over the windshield?
