Canadians: What questions do you want to ask the gov't about net-tapping proposal?

The Canadian government is backpedalling on its proposal to make it easier for cops to wiretap the Internet without a warrant (the original document called the need to get wiretap warrants "a problem"). Now the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Search Engine program is crowdsourcing a set of questions for Stockwell Day, the minister responsible for the proposal (Day refused to grant them an interview). Day's office is looking to find time for an interview I blogged about this last week -- it's some creepy, PATRIOT Act-style stuff, and the fact that the government was planning to conduct its hearing in secret sure doesn't help. 1) is it your intent to undermine what it means to be canadian, in an effort to make other countries happy?
2) why would you hide from the people when making decisions such as this, what do you have to hide?
3)when did we, the "peacekeepers", become the witch hunters?
4)when will we lose the rest of our rights and freedoms?
5)who else will be at the table when you sign away our rights, the bankers? the hells angels?
ameriacan war criminals?
6)I thought the saying was "innocent until proven guilty", by aproving this proposal you effectivly change it to "guilty until proven innocent", is this your intent?
7) is it that big of a problem to call up a judge and ask for a warrant? or do you want to be able to do whatever the F*** you want and get away with it? I seem to recall something simalar to this in history class around WW2.

I'm not familiar with the Canadian constitution, but surely they have some equivilent of the U.S. Fourth amendment?

It's called the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Section 8 applies this perfectly.

Do you now understand why a majority of Canadians don't want a majority Conservative government?
