Wrong link! You posted the one to the story on the "No Sat-Nav signs."

Could they have made it look any more like a sex toy?

Hmm, actually looks fairly ergonomic compared to some of those early Apple/Commodore/Atari mice. It's amazing how far industrial design has come in twenty-odd years.

This is definitely post-soviet device. Price is too high for soviet times. 1992-1995 maybe.

I don't see how much more this is a "marvel of bad industrial design, plastic, and brutalism." than the original Apple mouse (of which I have one here) or the original IBM mouse.

Heh, even the soviet mice had 2 buttons before Apple.

It looks kind of similar to the hockey-puck-like DEC Xterm mice I used in the early '90s.

And as industrial design goes, it's better than Apple's iMac mouse.

"Someone should manufacture these."

Uh, yeah, because there's no better use for Earth's resources than mass-producing ugly, painful-to-use, obsolete mice from the USSR in the service of a moment's whimsy. Never mind that most of them would never sell and they'd just end up in landfills.

KIINT-

There isn't much irony in Cory's russophobia; more a lack of fact checking.
