Animated flashlight film

Takeshi Nagata and Kazue Monno made this wonderful animated film titled "Pika Pika 2007" by taking long-exposure photographs of people waving flashlights and stitching the photos together. unfortunatey, it is NOT their work in the Sprint commercial. while technically they didn't "invent" light painting, the communal concept of gathering artists/audience to participate was something they prized that unfortunately Sprint capitalized one.

i believe Sprint asked them how they did it, and it ended with that.

Pika Pika - 0
Sprint - 1 and a now famous commercial that EVERYONE thinks pika pika did.
