Lee Stoetzel: sculpture show in New York City

Woodbus
Artist Lee Stoetzel, creator of a life-size wood chopper that I blogged about last year, has a new exhibition of incredible sculptures on display at the Mixed Greens Gallery in New York City and online. The show includes several wood pieces, like a giant wooden book, old Mac computers, and, seen here, "VW Bus 2007" (75 x 165 x 67 1/2 inches, pecky cypress wood, steel). "I am very interested in the far reaching power of nature," Stoetzel says. "We build houses and think that we have controlled space, yet nature winds its way into those materials." Link
