Innovative ring-shaped fruit-bowl design

The Ring is an entry in the Designboom "Ceramics for Breakfast" contest. Germany's Joung Myung Lee designed this porcelain ring that mounts on your wall and holds and dispenses round fruits. It's a lovely idea. Link, Link to other contest entries (lots of good stuff here!) (via Neatorama)

Update: Rachel sez, The ring-shaped fruit bowl is strangely reminiscent of an Australian design that was picked up by Alessi in 2005. Third-year design student Lisa Vincitorio came up with a stainless steel donut-shaped fruit bowl that can be stacked, displayed on a table or hung on a wall. It's in production - you can buy it through Amazon.co.uk. More here."
