Chinese govt. rejects blue-headed Mao in Colors magazine
Colors 70th issue is about China. Halim Choueiry of Fabrica Fabrica student Andy Rementer drew a great two-page illustration for the issue, which featured a blue-headed Chairman Mao. It didn't go over well with the censors in China.LinkHowever, for the public presentation this week in Beijing, it appeared that the Chinese audience wasn't so impressed by Fabrica's token 'Wanted Creativity' ad (drawn by yours truly). And so the page featuring a cute, cartooney likeness of Mao was subsequently ripped out of all copies for the presentation.
