Emerging Tech con: only three weeks left!
You've only got three weeks until the O'Reilly Emerging Tech conference kicks off in San Diego, and given that the last couple shows have completely sold out, you'd better book now if you want to get in!
ETECH is the only tech conference that I never, ever miss. I've been going since it was the O'Reilly P2P Conference, and every year, I learn something new and surprising. I love the way that ETECH features a mix of the quotidian-but-necessary -- lessons learned implementing some important technology, say -- and the excitingly weird -- like the guy who spent his session showing all the nearly terminal things he'd done with electricity. It's a little like Boing Boing, I think -- unstintingly eclectic.
My only complaint about ETECH is that it's just too busy -- there are so many sessions I want to see, and so many people I want to hang out with and meet, I always feel like I'm playing catchup there. It's a good problem to have, I suppose. (Check out this other post where I list some of my picks for this year)
The event runs March 26-29 in San Diego. I just booked my hotel room. Hope to see you there!
