Video of LA subway mercury spiller
The LA Times has a brief article about a guy who intentionally spilled about five ounces of liquid mercury onto a subway platform in downtown Los Angeles. There's also a video from KTLA that shows the guy calmly pouring the mercury on the platform in front of onlookers. He then reported the spill to authorities using a pay phone.
Some people are speculating that this was a dry run for a terror attack. Link
