Wireless hacker night in Toronto
Wireless Toronto -- a community wireless group that sets up free WiFi throughout the city -- is going to start running hack-nights for WiFi hackers to get together and build wireless gear. As Brent the Closet Geek notes, this is a subplot of my last novel, Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town -- I appear to be matchless at predicting the present.
Link (Thanks, Brent the Closet Geek!)In this new year, Wireless Toronto will be doing more than just setting up free wifi in public places; they're starting a series of group tech-project hacknight get-togethers. Beer, wires, routers, cordless drills...you get the idea.
