Our professor Tracy Fullerton just announced on the IMD blog that USC's Interactive Media Program has withdrawn its sponsorship of Slamdance. Also of interest is another professor, Peter Brinson, who helped to create Waco Resurrection, has a post about his feelings on the dept. withdrawing their sponsorship.

Tracy's statement makes it clear that at no point did the department express concern about the games inclusion. In class, she mentioned that it is a bit embarrassing to be pegged as the cause of this in some early reporting.
