Killed By Gameboy story is crap
A British kid on holidays in Thailand plugged his Xmas Gameboy into the wall of his hotel room to recharge it. He was fresh out of the pool, the wiring sucked, he was electrocuted. The UK tabloids (and even the stolid Grauniad) reported the story as CHILD KILLED BY GAME-BOY!So, we have the possibility of poor wiring combined with moisture, combined with a charger combined with an electronic device.Link (via MeFi)Just ask yourself this: Had Connor been unplugging a lamp, would The Sun have reported “Connor, 7, Killed by Lamp” and would The Guardian have published “Boy, 7, dies in lamp lighting accident”?
