Smithsonian lobbies to preserve its Showtime sellout

Carl sez, "Hordes of Smithsonian lobbyists have descended on Capitol Hill to reverse recent congressional actions meant to mitigate at least a little bit of the damage from the Smithsonian's exclusive 30-year selloutcontract to Showtime. Lobbyists are moving moving on several fronts, including trying to keep a GAO analysis of the contract secret and rescinding House language that would cut the Secretary's salary in half so he would only earn what the President earns.
