Awards for best Public Diplomacy game: Monday in LA

This Monday, the USC Center on Public Diplomacy will hand out its awards for the Reinventing Public Diplomacy through Games Contest. There's a lot of drama here -- among the finalists are scrappy kids from Montgomery CollegeĀ  in Rockville, MD going up against the Carnegie Mellon's graduate engineering students who designed "Peace Maker," a game which has been featured on CNN and MSNBC. State Department reps will be on-site and in the Second Life virtual awards ceremony that will happen simultaneously. If you're in LA or Second Life, you can attend, too -- and in Second Life, you'll be seated and shown around by hosts from Australia, Canada and the UK. Link (Thanks, Josh!) (Disclosure: I will be a Fullbright Chair at the USC Center in 2006/2007))
