Here's a first-person account of the DayWithoutAnImmigrant protest in Tampa, FL, from my friend Cal. He's a local newspaper columnist, and he is half Asian. Most of my friends who went out were not immigrants, but citizens who went to show solidarity. Those who were immigrants were in fact hassled for being legal.
