Vertical bookcase -- stable, ceiling-high stack of books
The Sapien bookcase allows you to stack books horiztally for a minimum-footprint bookcase that acts like a stabilized pile of books from floor to ceiling. I saw a similar bookcase in Barcelona once that was even cooler -- the books went right to the floor and each "shelf" on the case was slightly askew, giving the impression of an impossibly high, teetering stack of books reaching to the rafters, except that it was perfectly stable.
