American electric chairs through history
This pictorial history of American electric chairs from 1890 to 1951 shows you pictures and some supplementary info on each chair. I learned much, particularly that calling your chair "Old Sparky" appears to have occurred to practically everyone (though the chair shown here daringly broke with the trend with the monicker "Old Betsy.")
