Second Life conference to take place in-game and in-RL
Gareth sez, "The 1st Second Life Community Convention will be held in NYC, at the same time as the State of Play conference. Targeted towards "community building" (and not the usual rambling of the fandom), it will feature something unique: the convention will be held at the same time in "real life" (at the NY Law School) and in the virtual world of Second Life, with two-way video communication between both sites. Videoconferencing has long since been a presence in many conferences and user groups. But this is the first convention that will feature videoconferencing between a virtual world and the real one.
