Why dry spaghetti always breaks into 3 or more pieces
These religious scientists have been making theological inquiries about why it is that when you bend and snap dry spaghetti (a component of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, creator of the Universe, arr) it always breaks into three or more pieces. "The multiple breaking of bent rods, like dry spaghetti pasta, can then be understood as a cascade of releases (loss of cohesion upon breakings) followed by stress increases leading to new cracks."
