Vat-grow chicken meat is coming
Stefan Jones says: "In the '50s SF novel The Space Merchants (Frederick Pohl, Cyril Kornbluth), the narrator is sent to a factory that produces chicken meat from a blob of disembodied cells fed nutrients via tubes. It looks like this cruelty-free (by massively creepy) way of growing meat my soon be feasible!" Link
