Cap gun lamp

Last year on eBay, I bought a ceramic child's lamp shaped like a revolver with a western-themed shade. This lamp, made from a classic 1955 Leslie Henry cap gun, is way cooler! From the eBay listing:
02 I 04 3C A9 04 1 BWho ever did this also mounted the bullets on the base. And they did a outstanding job, I was going to remove the gun and just sell the gun. But I got thinking, IT LOOKS GOOD, A COLLECTOR WOULD NOT DREAM OF DOING THIS, but it's It's already done for them! So why not leave it as a lamp!

I can tell the gun has been fired, I tried to pull the trigger and it starts to fire but seems jammed, The hammer will slam pulling it back by hand. The problem May be one of the mounting screws stopping it from working by the trigger. I can rotate the cyliner but I think the lamp cord prevents it from opening.
