Designer prefab houses coming to Germany

German housing is built to be "fortress-like" -- which is expensive, slow and enviromentally wasteful The solution may be prefab housing, which is efficient and fast to throw up. But Germans hate prefab. Now various German housing outfits have commissioned star architects to procduct designer "off the rack" prefab houses that are really lovely in the hopes that it will eliminate the prefab stigma.
