Wiccan teen suspended for wearing make-up
Ninth-grader James Hendon was handed a five-day suspension from San Bernardino's Pacific High School apparently for wearing lipstick and eye makeup. He intends to continue wearing the makeup when he goes back to school. From an ABC7.com report that includes a strange "detail photo" slideshow of Hendon's lips, eyes, and mohawk:LinkHerndon says his black lipstick and red eye makeup express the Wiccan religious beliefs he shares with his mother, a priestess in the neo-pagan faith. He contends the suspension violates his constitutional right to free expression.
