American Express goes nuts over Mexican domain name

Boing Boing reader Felix Eduardo Guerrero received a nastygram from American Express about the perceived similarity between their name (AMEX) and a domain name he registered (www.macadamiamex.com, a website about Macadamia nut farming in Mexico). Felix says that's unfair because, "MEX is a very popular suffix and prefix for Mexican websites." Link to post with copy of communication from AmEx.
