Shooting for RFID in guns
Verichip announced the development of a gun safety system based on radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. The aim is to prevent a gun from being fired by anyone other than its owner. Here's how it works: A gun is outfitted with an RFID reader. An RFID tag is implanted in the gun owner's hand. Only in the presence of that tag will the handgun allow its trigger to be unlocked.
